Removing toast
Caution! Bread slices and parts of the appliance get very hot and stay hot for some time after operation.
Do not use conductive tools, such as a fork, to remove toast from the appliance as this may damage the
heating elements.
After toasting, use non-conductive items, e.g. mittens, to remove hot toast from the appliance, or wait to
remove the toast after it has cooled a bit. Do not use a fork or other metallic utensils to remove toast as
this may result in electric shock or fire.
Removing lodged toast
• If toast is lodged inside the appliance, press the Cancel button and disconnect the power plug from
the electrical outlet.
• Wait until the appliance has cooled completely.
• Remove toast carefully and take care not to damage the heating elements.

CLEANING AND CARE

Warning! Before cleaning, switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the electrical outlet and let it
cool completely.
Warning! Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
• Clean the appliance with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Make sure that no moisture is entering the
appliance during cleaning.
• Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp implements to clean
your appliance.
• Dry the appliance thoroughly after cleaning.
• Store the appliance in a cool, dry location, away from children and pets.
Emptying the crumb tray
11 Place the product on its side on a flat surface.
12 Slide the crumb tray to the side and then open it by pulling it outwards. Clean the crumb tray and
then close it.
Storage
13 Before storage, always make sure the appliance has already been disconnected from the electrical
outlet and cooled completely.
Wind the power cord around the cord storage underneath the appliance.
Store the appliance in a cool and clean place, preferably in its original package.
