3 Operation

3.1 Areas of application

The promed ACP can be used in three ways:
Search mode: this locates the acupuncture point.
Manual treatment: no time limit for the treatment.
Treatment with automatic timer: 30 seconds or 60 seconds of treatment on the
acupuncture point.
Turn on the device by pressing the On/Off button. The switched- on condition is indi-
cated by an audio signal and the illuminated LED lamp above the time interval button.

Hold the promed ACP so that you are touching the
contact electrode.
A complete circuit is necessary for operation. The
contact electrode forms one pole (counter electrode)
and the acupuncture tip the other pole (active elec-
trode). When treating another person it is likewise
important to keep this circuit complete, i.e. by
