3.2 Adjusting the intensity
After switching on the device, the promed ACP is always set at the lowest level of
intensity (basic setting). For certain acupuncture treatments, however, higher intensi-
ties may be necessary.
You can change the effective intensity before or during stimulation. It is recommen-
ded, however, not to adjust the intensity until stimulation is applied, since different
areas of the body vary in sensitivity and also because different people experience the
electric impulse subjectively.
When the device is on, press the intensity button on the plus sign (+) repeatedly
until you have reached the desired intensity. In the display you will see that the light
display moves one step further each time the button is pressed.
When the last LED is illuminated, the device is set at the highest intensity. If you press
the intensity button on the minus sign (-), the intensity is reduced step by step down
to the lowest intensity (foremost LED).
NOTE
The intensity is experienced very differently at different points of
the body. Before changing the acupuncture point, it is therefore
recommended to always reset the intensity to the lowest level!
3.3 Using the unit's accessories
With the promed ACP you will receive an acupuncture tip, an earphone and an exter-
nal electrode with cable.
Acupuncture tip
The additional acupuncture tip has a finer and very narrow tapered end, enabling even
more efficient stimulation of the acupuncture point. This can be especially useful in
searching for, finding and stimulating points located very close together, e.g. in the
ear. Simply place the tip on the device. Make sure that it is seated securely and has
contact with the device.
Earphone
The earphone can be connected to the promed ACP by means of the jack. Now the
acoustic signal can only be heard through the earphone.
