Risk of injury if the operating instructions are
not observed!
These operating instructions contain important
information for the safe handling of the carrier
rack. Special reference is made to possible
dangers. Failure to heed these dangers could
result in injury or accident.
Ø Please read the operating instructions
thoroughly.
Ø Follow the safety instructions in these
operating instructions.
Ø Keep the operating instructions in an
accessible place.
Use of the extension kit is prohibited in the
following cases:
- If the extension kit is damaged.
- For unauthorised conversions or
modifications.
- For children or persons who are unable to
assess the risks involved in handling the
extension kit.
In the following cases, the manufacturer
assumes no liability or warranty for damage:
- Failure to observe the operating instructions
- In the event of improper use.
- In the event of improper handling.
- When using spare parts that have not been
authorised by the manufacturer.
- In the event of unqualified repair of the
extension kit.

Proper use

The e.base XT extension kit is exclusively
suitable for mounting on the e.base accessory
base and for carrying accessories.
The extension kit is suitable for use when
driving on tarmacked roads. Off-road use is not
permitted.
The extension kit may only be used if it is
correctly installed and in a technically perfect
condition.
Proper use also includes observing the
information on the type plate and reading and
observing these operating instructions.
Any other use is considered contrary to the
intended purpose.

Safety instructions for use

In road traffic, the driver is responsible for the
safety of the vehicle and its load.
The country-specific laws on load securing take
precedence and must be observed at all times
(e.g. mandatory indication with a warning
sign).
The following values must be observed when
using the extension kit:
- Maximum carrying capacity of the extension
kit of 75 kg.
- Vehicle's permissible axle load.
- Vehicle's permissible total weight.
