Notes on use A
The product is recommended for patients with unstable blood pressure or known
hypertension, for home use and therapy support.
The cuff fits upper arms between 23 and 43 centimetres.
The device will measure pressures within the range of 0 to 300 mm Hg and a pulse rate
between 40 and 160 beats per minute.

Measuring method

This product uses the oscillometric method of blood pressure and pulse rate analysis. The cuff
is connected to the device and placed on the arm according the diagram. The system starts
automatically building up pressure on pressing the Start/stop button.
In the shortest of time, the device will measure the small oscillations within the cuff occurring
due to arterial expansion and contraction in the arm (due to the heart beat). The build up of
pressure stops after establishing the systole, diastole and pulse when air is let out of the cuff.
The amplitude of each pressure wave is measured in millimetres of mercury, converted and
digitally displayed on the LCD.
A memory slot records the last 30 respective results for comparison.
