INSTRUCTION FOR AUTOMATIC LEAD ACID BATTERY CHARGER ALCS 2-24 A
USE OF THE CHARGER
Automatic charger for sealed lead acid batteries 2 V up to 24 V with the capacity range from 2.4
Ah to 24 Ah.
FEATURES
For charging sealed lead acid batteries:2V, 6V, 12V or 24V; Automatic adjustment to the correct
voltage of connected battery; For all types of sealed lead acid batteries; Protection against overload
and short circuit by current limitation; Protection against wrong polarity by polyswitch; Charging with
IU-curve; Suitable for float charging; Trickle charge approx 20mA
DISPLAY
LED red on: charging of the battery
LED red off: end of charging / trickle charging
LED green: after connecting the battery one of the 4 green LED´s indicates the voltage of the connected
battery. If no battery is connected the LED for 24 V will light.
ATTENTION
Only for charging rechargeable lead acid batteries. Do not charge other types of batteries -
Danger of explosion!
COMMISSIONING
Connect the battery with the battery clips. Pay attention to the correct polarity. The black one with
-, the red one with +. Plug the charger into a convenient mains socket. If no battery is connected the
green LED for 24 V will light. After connecting the battery, the charger switches automatically to the
right voltage and the charging procedure will start. The red LED indicates charging. After charging
the red charging LED switches off and the battery is provided with trickle charging. The battery is now
fully charged and ready for use.
WARNING
When charging lead acid cells, explosive gases can develop. Avoid open fire and sparks.
TIP
Do not carry out any cleaning if the charger is plugged in. Only use a dry cloth to clean the charger.
Do not use the charger if the housing is damaged. Chargers that require repair must be sent to
authorised service agents or dealers.
