The PSAX Patch Panel Wall Mounting Brackets support all hardware releases and
features of the PSAX 1000 system and the PSAX Patch Panels.
The Patch Panel Piggyback Mounting Brackets allow the PSAX Patch Panels to be
attached to the top of the PSAX 1000 chassis.
The specifications for the Patch Panel Piggyback Mounting Brackets are described
in Table 1.

The set of two Patch Panel Piggyback Mounting Brackets is shipped with the fol-
lowing hardware:
• Six #8-32 x 3/8 in. flathead Phillips screws (to attach the bracket to the chassis)
• Eight #6-32 x 1/4 in. flathead Phillips screws (to attach the bracket to the patch
panel)
Perform the following procedure to attach the Patch Panel Piggyback Mounting
Brackets to the PSAX 1000 chassis and PSAX Patch Panels.
Attaching the Mounting Brackets
Begin
1 Lay the PSAX 1000 chassis in an upright position on a table.
2 Align the mounting bracket with one set of three screwholes on the side of
the chassis near the front panel (see Figure 2).
3 With a Phillips screwdriver, secure the bracket with three of the
#8-32 x 3/8 in. flathead Phillips screws (the larger of the two types supplied)
to the chassis.
4 Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other mounting bracket.
5 If necessary, remove the existing patch panel mounting brackets from the
PSAX Patch Panels.
