How to set up the Parallel Port address
Since the Parallel Port address for most
IBM ThinkPad computers is set to 03BC,
you need to set it to 0378 as follows:
My Computer (right-click)
Device Manager
ECP Printer Port (LPT1)
uncheck the Use Automatic setting item
Select a different Basic Configuration value.
Then setting value of the input/output range
should be changed from 03BC–03BF to
0378–037F.

• If your MM-FX500 still is not recognised
even though you set the Printer Port Mode
to ECP and the I/O address to 0378, try
setting the Printer Port I/O address to
0278.
• If you have a printer driver installed on
you system, you may need to remove the
driver.
