The extraction air unit is used for the technical extraction of air from the inside of cabinets. The extracted air stream does
not get in contact with the electric current leading or metallically blank construction parts. The unit is suitable to extract
cabinets which are defined in the EN 14470-1/2.

Install the extraction unit with the extraction air inlet on top of the cabinet. Connect the customer provided extraction
air duct appropriate to the extraction air outlet of the unit. The extracted air from in side safety cabinet can either flow
into a suitable ventilation system or must flow in safe place into the free.
Attention: Use plastic duct with cabinet models VBFA/VBFT/VBF type series 196.

Ensure that all parts listed in the enclosed packing list are present.
Wall consoles: Install both triangular steel sheet parts with three screws each on the side of the extraction air ventila-
tor housing.
Choice of installation location: Look for a location above or near the hazardous material cabinet, as close as possible
to the outlet connector of the cabinet.
Wall mounting: Drill the necessary holes in the wall, remove the bore dust and insert the plastic rawlplugs. Attach the
ventilator cowl, with the enclosed screws on the wall.

1. Bolt the enclosed brackets onto the side of the ventilation module.
2. Place the ventilation module with its inlet opening over the outlet connector of the underbench cabinet, and align it
horizontally.
3. Mark the positions of the holes required for the brackets on the rear wall of the underbench cabinet. Spot-drill the
marked holes with a small wood drill. Then position the ventilation module with the brackets in the appropriate
positions, and fasten the brackets to the rear wall with the wood screws included.
4. Connect the outlet connectors (Ø 75 mm) on the ventilation module to the customer's exhaust air ducts. Note that
the connection must exhibit a degree of elasticity.
5. Insert the mains plug into a socket that is earthed in accordance with regulations.
3. Put into operation
Put the power supply plug into a correctly grounded power socket.
Activate the rocker switch (Position ON).
4. Extraction air monitoring
HF.EA11442 / HF.EA.15575 / HF.EA.17447 / HF.EA.17448
Monitoring with integrated pressure leak detector. The green light turns off in case of failure.
5. Connections/repairs
Ventilation connections as well as repairs shall only be done by specialists. In the event of damage the equipment has
to be repaired or exchanged by the manufacturer.
