Troubleshooting table

Diagnosis
Chain oil does not come out.
Excessive vibration.
 Consult your dealer in the event of a problem that is not covered in the table above, or other such concerns.
 Please contact your dealer in order to dispose of the product or its parts in compliance with national laws.

Maintenance and care
5. Finish cutter sharpening by rounding front raker edge (C)
with flat file.
6. Properly filed cutter is as shown.
D: Top plate angle 30°
E: Top plate cutting angle 55°
F: Depth gauge 0.65 mm
G: Parallel
7. Apply clean oil and rotate saw chain slowly to wash away fil-
ings.
8. If saw chain is coated or clogged with resin, clean in kero-
sene, then soak in oil.
IMPORTANT
Cause
 No oil in the oil tank.
 Clogged chain oil pipe or oil fil-
ter.
 Fault in the oil passage.
 Warped or damaged cutting at-
tachment.
 Loose gear case.
 Bent drive shaft/worn or dam-
aged bushings.
1. Insert small end of hook into locating hole on attachment
shaft.
2. Slide plastic cap onto end of attachment shaft.

Solution
 Fill the chain oil.
 Clean the chain oil pipe and oil fil-
ter.
 Consult your dealer.
 Inspect and replace attachment as
required.
 Tighten gear case securely.
 Inspect and replace as necessary.
