HANDLING / TRANSPORT
The cappings press is equipped with articulated wheels to facilitate handling in the uncapping shop.
During transport on vehicles, we recommend blocking the wheels with a special braking lever and securing the
machine by protecting its guards and control panel from impacts or rubbing which would affect their efficiency
and aesthetics.
2.2 INSTALLATION
The machine comes assembled ready for use. It is recommended to wash the machine and all its parts that
come in contact with the honey, with water and a neutral detergent.
The machine must be installed at a convenient location where the operator can easily use it; after positioning,
lock the articulated wheels.
Always make sure that the power cable, the hopper and the wax discharge gate are positioned so as not to
hinder other operations and above all, that they do not imply a risk of stumbling in the passage areas for
workshop operators.
3.1 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Remove the polycarbonate guard from the hopper bottom.
We advise replacing this guard at the bottom of the hopper every time after work, to protect the screw feeder
from accidental impacts.
Prepare a sufficient amount of cappings to allow a full work cycle to be completed by the machine (15-20 kg),
making sure to always loadfully.
CAUTION! Always make sure that no wood chips, metal wire
scraps or other blunt objects are thrown into the hopper
together with the cappings, as these might damage the screw
or prevent smooth shaft rotation.
For safety reasons, the opening of the screen located on the hopper will cause the screw feeder to stop.
While the machine is in motion, you can still add cappings through the screen.
If the cappings are full of honey, the residue squeezed out of the cage can be used for mixing with the
extracted honey. The wax squeezed out at screw feeder end can be melted in a wax melter.
Note: if the press is not fully loaded, i.e. with the screw feeder not completely full of
cappings, the product fed out of the screw in the early processing stages may not have
been squeezed sufficiently.
Good compression is only achieved when the screw feeder is full of cappings.
Any material which does not look squeezed to the right degree can be fed back into the
hopper.

CAUTION! Do not use metal objects or other
objects to compress or stir the cappings inside
the hopper, as this would damage the screw
feeder.
