Initial start-up

The trimmer must first be charged as described in the Charging process section.
Operation (Figure E)

1. Press the on/off switch to turn the trimmer on and off.
2. The cutting length is adjusted by setting the cutting length adjuster to the
desired cutting length.
3. A preset cutting length is provided when you use the comb attachment (special
accessories).

Cleaning and maintenance

The cutter head must be regularly cleaned and oiled in the appropriate places to
ensure that it works properly.
If you do not clean and oil the cutter head regularly this leads to wear on the cutter
head and motor.
Cleaning the cutter head (Figure F)
The cutter head should be thoroughly cleaned once a day if used regularly.
1. Switch the trimmer off.
2. Carefully remove the hairs on the cutter head using the cleaning brush.
3. It is recommended that the cutter head is removed regularly to so that the rest of
the hair can be removed from inside.
a. Press against the cutter head from the top and take it off the hair trimmer.
b. Push the upper and lower blades slightly apart and also remove the hairs be-
tween the putting plates on all sides using the cleaning brush.
c. Remove any possible remaining hairs from inside.
4. To attach the cutter head hook it in underneath first of all and then click it in again
by applying slight pressure.
Oiling the cutter head (Figure G)
The cutter head must be regularly oiled, ideally every day, at the comb and contact
surface. Only use the original oil for this.
Clean the cutter head before oiling it.
1. Oil the comb.
2. Then oil the rear contact surfaces.
You can order the oil used for this from your Customer Service.
Cleaning the trimmer
Wipe your trimmer using a damp cloth occasionally and then rub it dry.
Cleaning the charging contacts (Figure H)
Only use the charger with dry contacts.
If the charging contacts on the trimmer or connecting plug are dirty, the charging
process may be interrupted or disconnected.
1. Carefully clean the contacts using alcohol or white spirit.
