The Aperture Ring
At settings other than A, you can adjust aperture by rotat-
ing the lens aperture ring (exposure modes A and M).
The built-in apodization fi lter reduces the amount of light
passing through the lens; the eff ective aperture (f-number)
is shown by the red numbers on the aperture ring.
