1. ScReW-in-TyPe eye cuPS
KAHLES binoculars are equipped with indi-
vidual screw-in-type eye cups (three ad-
justment positions available). Persons, not
wearing eye glasses turn both eye cups out
anti-clockwise until the stop is reached. Eye-
glasses wearers, who wear eye glasses when
looking through binoculars, turn both eye cups
in clock-wise until the stop is reached.
2. AdjuSTMenT Of inTeRPuPiLLARy diSTAnce
To see a single circular image, you have to adjust the halves
of the binoculars to your interpupillary distance:
• Look through the binoculars eyepieces with both eyes.
• Turn the binocular halves around the central axis until you
no longer see any disturbing shadows and a single circular
field of view is visible. The Binocular is now adjusted for
your personal interpupillary distance.

3. diOPTRic cORRecTiOn
Persons with eyes having varying acuity:
Turn the dioptric correction wheel in the direction "+"
(counter-clockwise) until the stop is reached.
In the same manner, turn the focusing wheel to the left
(anti-clockwise) until it reaches the stop.
First look through the binoculars with both eyes. Now close
your right eye (or cover the objective end of the right
binocular half) and look at some object with your left eye.
Turn the focusing wheel to the right until the object is
sharply focused.
Now close your left eye (or cover the objective end of the left
binocular half) and look at the same object only with your
right eye. Adjust the dioptric correction wheel by turning it to
the right until the object is sharply focused. The binocular is
now adjusted for your personal dioptric correction.
