Establishing a connection to the WLAN router via WPS
WPS (WIFI Protected Setup) is a standard for establishing a WLAN connection at the
touch of a button.
• It is not necessary to enter the network name (SSID) and password.
• The WLAN router must support WPS.
Prerequisite:
• The range of the WLAN connection between the WLAN router and InScenio FM-
Master EGC can span a distance of up to 80 m provided there is unobstructed sig-
nal transmission and there are no sources of interference.
• Compatibility with the WLAN standard 802.11n+g and only in the frequency range
2.4 GHz.
How to proceed:
1. Press the WPS key on the WLAN router to activate WPS.
– WPS is only active for a limited time. Activate WPS on the InScenio FM-Master
EGC during this time.
– Please also note the information in the operating manual of the WLAN router.
On the InScenio FM-Master EGC:
2. Insert the service pin into the opening between the two top sockets until you feel a
resistance. The pin is in contact with the service button.
3. Press the service button briefly (max. 2 seconds) to activate the WPS.
– The LED is lit green and flashes fast.
– The WPS remains active for 2 minutes.
– The connection is established when the green LED flashes slowly (2 seconds on,
1 second off).
4. Open the WLAN settings on the smartphone/tablet and establish a connection to
the WLAN router.
5. Open the OASE app "Easy Control".
6. Add the InScenio FM-Master EGC and assign the unit password.
– When establishing the connection to the InScenio FM-Master EGC for the first
time, define a unit password to protect the InScenio FM-Master EGC from unau-
thorised access.
– You will also require the unit password to connect the InScenio FM-Master EGC
(Cloud version only) with the OASE Cloud web portal.
