Operation
■ Plug in the appliance and, using the
counter rest, place it on a flat, heat
resistant surface. Let the power cord
hang down to stabilise the appliance.
■ Push the ring switch 1 forwards to switch
the appliance on. The position of the ring
switch determines the temperature:
1 = approx. 140°C for fine hair
2 = approx. 170°C for normal hair
3 = approx. 200°C for thicker hair
■ Select the desired temperature. The
appliance will heat up and the LED 2 will
start to blink.
■ As soon as the set temperature has been
reached, the LED will remain 2 lighting.
The hair can now be curled.
■ To switch off, push ring switch 1 back
wards.
Use
W Risk of burns!
Do not let the appliance come into contact
with your skin (face, scalp or ears).
■ Only use the appliance on dry hair.
■ Use only on untreated, healthy hair.
■ Use less frequently on permed, coloured
or damaged hair.
Information: Fine hair responds very
quickly to the treatment. The even heat
emission is especially gentle on the hair.
■ Comb the hair and section it into even
strands (about 23 cm wide). The finer
the strands, the tighter the curl as all the
hair comes into contact with the heated
c urling tong.
■ Open the curling iron by pressing the
clip 6.
■ Insert a strand of hair and close the clip.

■ Now pull the curling tong down to the
ends of the hair and turn to wind up the
strand. Image b
Important: If you have long hair, use the
entire surface of the heating element when
winding up. This will spread the heat evenly
throughout the hair and deliver better s tyling
results.
■ Leave the curling tong in the hair for a
few seconds to shape the curl.
■ Release the strand again by opening the
clip with small movements while removing
the curling iron sideways from the hair
section.
Note: Make sure that the curl is not pulled
straight when removing the curling tong.
For longer lasting curls, use a hair clip to
hold the curl in place while it is still rolled up
and allow the hair to cool.
When placing the appliance on the counter,
place it on a level, heatresistant surface
using the counter rest. Let the power cord
hang down to stabilise the appliance.
Tip: Allow hair to cool completely before
styling.
Give your hair extra volume by running your
fingers through the curls.
For more natural looking curls, you can also
use the curling tong as a hairdresser would
with the clip closed.
Hold the strand of hair by its tip and wrap it
in a spiral around the closed curling tong.
