1. Read this manual completely before attempting to install or use the product.
2. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without
adequate disinfection before or after it enters the filter. Systems certified for cyst
reduction may be used with disinfected water that may contain filterable cysts.
3. Individuals requiring specific microbiological purity should consult their physician.
4. For use on cold, potable water supplies only.
5. For this unit to perform as represented, use only Nikken
cartridges, Item #13152.
6. After setup and installation, do not remove the battery except when replacing the
filter cartridge.
7. Be sure to replace the battery each time a new cartridge is installed. For your
convenience, a new battery is included with the purchase of a new cartridge.
8. This system must be protected from freezing. Failure to do so may result in loss of
performance, damage to the parts and water leakage.
9. Installation of this product must comply with all state and local laws and regulations.
