Maintenance and storage
1) When the machine is stopped for servicing,
inspection, or storage, or to change an acces-
sory, shut off the power source, disconnect
from supply, make sure that all moving parts
have come to a complete stop and, where a
key is fitted remove the key. Allow the ma-
chine to cool before making any inspections,
adjustments, etc.
2) Always allow the machine to cool before stor-
ing;
3) When servicing the cutting means be aware
that, even though the power source will not
start due to the interlock feature of the guard,
the cutting means can still be moved by a
manual starting mechanism.
4) Keep the motor cooling vents clean of debris
and other accumulations to prevent damage
to the motor or possible fire.
5) If an extension cord is used it shall not be of
lighter grade than the supply cord already fit-
ted to the appliance.
6) Check the supply and any extension cord
regularly for damage or signs of ageing. Do
not use the appliance, if the cords are dam-
aged.
7) Never attempt to override the interlock fea-
ture of the guarding.

is securely gripped under the cord grip.
2. There is no damage to the sheath of the ex-
tension lead.
3. The cable is run out safely to avoid damage or
accidental tripping.
4. The lead is fully unwound from the reel to
avoid overheating.

Attention
The electrical AC MAINS SUPPLY may experience volt-
age drops when starting this equipment. This can influ-
ence other equipment (e.g. blinking of a lights). If the AC
MAINS SUPPLY impedance Zmax is less than 0.40 0HM
at 50Hz, such disturbances are not expected. If neces-
sary, you may contact your local supply authority for fur-
ther information.
Use outdoor extension leads
When this tool is used outdoors, use only extension cords
intended for outdoor use.

WARNING: Read the instructions carefully be-
fore using the shredder and familiarize yourself
with the controls and proper use of the equip-
ment.
There is a risk that some objects could be
thrown out by the shredder. Keep bystanders
away.
Do not reach into the feed opening or the dis-
charge chute. The blades will continue to rotate
for approx 5 seconds after it has been switched
off.
WARNING: Always wear safety glasses, ear
muffs and protective gloves.
WARNING: Do not use the shredder in the rain
or damp conditions. Protect it from moisture.
If the cable is damaged, disconnect from the
mains immediately and replace cable!
Remove the plug from the wall socket before
carrying out any kind of maintenance.
Sound power level
Waste electrical products should not be dis-
posed of with household waste. Please recycle
where facilities exist. Check with your local au-
thority or retailer for recycling device.
