PRIOR TO FIRST USE

Before using the appliance for the first time, proceed as follows: carefully unpack the appliance and loose components,
such as fat drip tray and thermostat unit, and remove all packaging material. Keep the packaging (plastic bags and cardboard)
out of reach of children. After unpacking the appliance, carefully check it for external damage that may have occurred
during transport.
Place the appliance on a flat and stable underground that is resistant to heat and ensure a free space of 15 cm around the appliance.
Clean the grill surface with a damp cloth to which washing-up liquid has been added, if necessary. Thoroughly rinse the fat drip
tray and dry it properly. The appliance may not be cleaned in the dishwasher.
The appliance is provided with a protective layer that must be removed prior to first use.
This is done by heating the appliance for approximately 10 minutes (position 3-4) without food.
Carefully insert the thermostat unit firmly in the connection point. Make sure the thermostat knob is on 0 (off). Before inserting
the plug in an earthed wall socket, check that the voltage corresponds with the information given on the information plate
of the appliance.
Light smoke may form due to the protective layer burning off the appliance. Therefore, ensure proper ventilation in the room.
After removing the protective layer you can switch off the appliance or start using it.
