4 Range of Application
4.1 9X50 Linear Transducer
The9X50LinearTransducerisdesignedformountingbetweenpermanent
socketandshoulderharnessandcanbemountedafterthepermanentpros-
thesishasbeenfitted.TheTransducerissuitableforamputeesfittedwith
apermanentsocketwhocannotproducestrongenoughmusclesignalsto
controlmyoelectricprostheses.
The9X50LinearTransducercanbeusedtocontrolproportional1-chan-
neland2-channelelectrodecontrolsofprostheticcomponentssuchas
O ttobockSystemElectricHand,SystemElectricGreiferortheOttobock
Electrohand 2000(ElectronicControl9E369and9E370).Acombinationof
LinearTransducerandMyoBockElectrodesisalsopossible.
ByinstallingtheLinearTransducerbetweentheprovisionalsocketand
theshoulderharnessthepatientcanbeginlearninghowtocontrolmotion
sequencesduringthefirststagesofrehabilitationandthuschangemore
smoothlytothepermanentprosthesis
forbothrightandleft-sidedamputeesaswellasdouble-sidedamputees.
