CLEANING AND STORAGE

Before cleaning the product or performing any maintenance, make sure that the product
is unplugged from the mains supply.
CLEANING DUST CONTAINER AND FILTERS

The container must be emptied when the dust inside the container reaches the maximum level
mark. For optimum performance, we recommend cleaning the container and filter after each
use.

Do not wash any component from the dust container or the foam motor protection filter in a
dishwasher
Emptying the dust container (D)
1 Press the container release button (12) inward and remove the container. (D1).
2 Press the empty container button (13) and empty the container into a rubbish bin (D2).
Cleaning the filter (E)
1 Withdraw the filter assembly (15), to do this hold the container firmly and pull it off the cover
(17).
2 Take the filter assembly off the dust container. To take the two pieces of the assembly apart,
turn the cover clockwise to the UNLOCK position.
3 Shake the filter assembly clean (15) over a dustbin or use a small brush for a thorough cleaning.
4 If heavily soiled, wash the dust container and filters (15/16) under running water with a mild
detergent (F).

To ensure the unit works correctly, check that the foam filter (16) is completely clean.

Check that all of the parts are completely dry before fitting them back onto the container. Do
not use a hairdryer to dry the foam filter. Leave it to dry naturally for at least 12 hours.
5 Fit the new filter (16) into its housing and attach the two pieces for the assembly, turn the cover
anticlockwise to the LOCK position.
6 Insert the filter assembly (15) into the dust container and push the filter inward so that it locks
into the container.
7 Fit the dust container back into the main body (1), to do this slot the base of the container into
the cleaner and push the top section in so that you hear a click.
CLEANING THE MULTI-PURPOSE BRUSH (G)
1 Unscrew screw (23) and remove the cover (24)
2 Take the brush (22) out of its housing
3 Remove any dirt (hair and other fibres) tangled around the roller.
If is it very tangled, it can be cut off using scissors.
4 Wash the brush under running water with mild detergent.

Make sure that it is completely dry before refitting it.
5 Refit the multi-purpose brush (22)
