Distance too far or too much light in
the room.
There is an obstacle in the path of
the beam.
The batteries are weak.
The +, – polarity of the batteries are
not inserted correctly.
The TV/VCR function is in the VCR
mode.

Insert correctly.
Set to TV, or turn off the VCR power
button.
