English
Once all required connections have been carried out, re-position the
lower panel and screw the central and the two cylinder fastening nuts.
Use
When power has been fed to the appliance all the warning leds will go
on for a moment: LINE, STATUS, TEMP.BATTERY, TEMP.CHARGER,
NO BATTERY.
The device then checks whether a battery is connected to the charger:
should none be found, the "NO BATTERY" led will go on, NO output
voltage will be distributed.
If a battery is detected, the LINE green led is on and all the other leds
are off, the charging cycle will begin. Battery charging takes place in
three phases according to the IUoU characteristic.
First phase (boost – constant current): the battery charger distributes,
under current limitation, the value of the current on the plate until
reaching the voltage of 2.41V per element with led batteries and of 2.5V
with gel batteries. If the cycle began with an already charged battery, this
phase may be skipped, automatically passing on to the second. If it is
not possible to reach the threshold voltage in a maximum period of time
of 9 hours, the NO-BATTERY led will flash and the battery charger will
distribute minimum current.
Second phase (absorption – constant voltage): the STATUS led will
flash and the LINE led will have a stable light. The battery charger will
distribute current to complete charging at a constant voltage of 2.30V per
element with lead batteries and of 2.37V with gel batteries. This phase
will end when the output current goes below the value of 10A . Should
this not occur within the maximum period of time of 2 hours, the
appliance will automatically go on to the third phase.
Third phase (maintenance – constant voltage): in this phase the battery
charger will no longer distribute current and it will reduce its voltage to
2.21V per element with lead batteries and 2.28V per element with gel
batteries. In this phase the STATUS led will have a stable light, the
battery charger will distribute any current that may be required by the
charge, maintaining the voltage constant and protecting the battery from
discharges. If during this maintenance phase the battery charger
