This way you receive results that are as accurate as possible:
A)
Wait at least 15 minutes after your last sip of alcohol.
Do not eat, drink or smoke during that time.
B)
Do not open the casing.
C)
Do not keep the breathalyzer in cold, hot, moist or
badly ventilated places.
D)
Keep the breathalyzer out of the reach of children.
E)
Conduct three inlet tests after long storage before
conducting the actual alcohol test.
F)
Do not drop the breathalyzer.
G)
Change the battery if it is depleted. Diminished battery
capacity leads to incorrect test results.
H)
Do not conduct tests in loud (sound waves disrupt the
sensor), drafty or poorly ventilated places.
I)
After a test result of 1.000‰ (per mill = default setting) or
higher the sensor needs rest time. In this case wait at least
three minutes before the next test.
J)
Do not conduct tests in very cold, very hot or an unventilated,
smoky ambience.
K)
Store the breathalyzer in a way to avoid penetration
by dust or liquids.
L)
Blowing too hard may cause damage to the sensor as saliva
flows into it.
ACE INSTRUMENTS RECOMMENDS:
ALWAYS USE A NEW MOUTHPIECE FOR EACH PERSON AND
TEST THAT IS CONDUCTED. ACE INSTRUMENTS ASSUMES NO
LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES WHICH ARISE WHEN SEVERAL
PEOPLE USE THE SAME MOUTHPIECE FOR MULTIPLE TESTS.
ONLY USE THE PROVIDED SINGLE PACKED AND
HYGIENIC MOUTHPIECES - MORE ARE AVAILABLE AT
WWW.ACE-INSTRUMENTS.NET.
DURING EACH TEST THE BREATHALYZER´S INTERNAL
AND EXTERNAL PARTS COME INTO CONTACT WITH HUMAN
SECRETION (SALIVA, BLOOD, SWEAT, ETC.)! USE DISPOSABLE
GLOVES WHEN PULLING OUT A MOUTHPIECE USED BY
ANOTHER PERSON! YOU CAN BUY APPROPRIATE GLOVES E.G.
AT ACE TECHNIK (WWW.ACE-TECHNIK.DE).
Preparation for the test:
1.
If you use the device for the first time you have to remove the
small paper inside the battery compartment which prevents the
battery from discharging. Open the battery compartment cover
at the back side of the device (push it downwards), pull out the
paper and close the battery compartment cover again. If you
exchange old batteries against new ones please mind the
battery polarity (+/- pole).
2.
Insert a mouthpiece into the slot on top oft he front of the
breathalyzer. Ensure whether it securely fits or not. For sanitary
reasons it is highly recommended to use an extra mouthpiece
for each test.
Conducting the measurement:
Push the power button below the display for about 2
1.
seconds, then you hear one beep sound.
2.
After pushing the power button a countdown starts (shown
on the display), the display shows „Wait" and the device warms up.
3.
At the end of the countdown you see "0" on the display and
additionally the device beeps twice. As soon as you can see
"0", start blowing into the mouthpiece for about 3 seconds.
Tip: Blow like you would whistle (without a break). The device
will start beeping when you start blowing.
4.
Keep blowing steadily until the beeping stops and you hear
a double beep sound. If the breath sample was not sufficient
you will see „E" on the display. In this case push the start
button and start a new test.
5.
After a successful test the result is displayed after a few
seconds. The test result is shown as 3 digit readout of your
blood alcohol level in ‰ (per mill = EU setting) OR mg/L (=
UK setting) OR % BAC (= US setting). If the test result is higher
than 0.50‰ (or depending on the setting 0.25mg/L or 0.05%
BAC) then you can hear a warn signal (beep sound) for about
10 seconds.
Please note:
The device puts itself off automatically approx.
10 seconds after showing the test result or after approx. 30
seconds when not using it. For a new test just press the start
button below the display.
The accuracy of this device is of +/- 0.10‰ (per mill = default
setting) with reference to 0.50‰. For devices with UK
measurement unit the tolerance is +/- 0.05mg/L with reference
to 0.25mg/L, for devices with US measurement unit the
tolerance is +/- 0.01% BAC with reference to 0.05% BAC.

WHEN YOU HAVE EATEN, DRUNKEN ALCOHOL OR SMOKED A
CIGARETTE, WAIT AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE STARTING
