Selecting trigger mode (Fig. III)
Under no circumstances is the workpiece contact unit
or the trigger allowed to be fixed in the activation
position!
This tool has a selectable trigger mode that can be set
to either the single sequence actuation mode or the
contact actuation mode.
Mode A: single sequence actuation mode
(Fig. III)
Disconnect tool from the air supply. Depress pivot pin in
the trigger lever. Rotate pin to the required position. It is
to be ensured the pivot pin is securely engaged so that
the tool functions correctly.
Connect tool to the compressed air supply. Grip the
handle of the tool firmly. Place the nose of the tool in
position on the workpiece surface and press against
the workpiece contact.
Actuate trigger. Wait until the cycle has been completed
before the next shot.
Mode B: contact actuation mode (Fig. III)
The contact actuation mode provides very fast repetitive
cycles.
Press trigger and hold. Place the nose of the tool in
position on the workpiece surface and press against
the workpiece contact. The cycle is performed
automatically. Wait until the cycle has been completed
before the next shot.
Keep trigger pressed. Place the nose of the tool in a new
position on the workpiece surface and press against
the workpiece contact. The next cycle is performed.

Adjusting air pressure

The air flow rate required is dependent on the size of the
fasteners and the workpiece material. Set compressed
air to around 6.5 bar and test a few fasteners in a
material similar to the workpiece material.
Adjust compressed air until the lowest pressure is found
at which consistent results are obtained. Fine adjustment
is performed as necessary using the depth adjustment
on the tool.
Depth adjustment (Fig. IV)
The driving depth for the fasteners can be adjusted.
Disconnect the tool from the air supply.
Turn depth adjustment to the left or right to change the
driving depth. Re-connect the tool to the air supply.
Removing fasteners from the tool (Fig. II)
The tool must be disconnected from the air supply
before the fasteners are removed.
DKN 3065 Kombi (Fig. II-A):
Pull back magazine clamp (7) and secure with the
aid of the locking pin (8). Remove fasteners from the
magazine from above. Hold magazine clamp with one
hand and press the spring-loaded locking pin (8) to
unlock the magazine clamp.
Close magazine and ensure it latches correctly.
DCN 3264 (Fig. II-B):
Press magazine catch (11) and open magazine (13).
Remove coil of fasteners from the magazine.
Close magazine and ensure it latches correctly.
Operation in cold weather
In cold weather close to freezing or below freezing
with high atmospheric humidity, the tool may freeze.
Freezing may prevent correct operation.
For cold weather we recommend the use of a lubricant
for compressed air tools or an anti-freeze (ethylene
glycol) as the lubricant.
Frost or the formation of ice on valves and parts of the
tool will result in the failure of the tool. Do not store the
tool in a cold place!
Clearing a jammed fastener
The tool must be disconnected from the air supply
before clearing jammed fasteners.
Open magazine as described and remove fasteners.
Using a suitable screwdriver, press back the driver
mechanism and remove bent fastener.
On DKN 3065 Kombi carefully open the catch
(6) to remove any jammed fasteners in the workpiece
contact unit.
Re-connect the tool to the air supply. Load tool with
fasteners.
