Charging the battery
• Observe the network current! The power source current must match the details on the
type label of the charger. Chargers labelled with 230V~ can also be operated with 220V~.
• The battery is supplied with a half charge. In order to ensure the full performance of the
battery, charge it completely before the first use (at least 1/2–1 hour).
• The glue gun cannot be used while charging; it is not faulty if it does not work while
charging.
• The lithium ion battery can be charged at any time without shortening its lifespan.
Interrupting the charging process does not damage the battery.
• Insert the adapter plug (10) into the socket and the charging plug (9) into the charging
socket (8). The heating display (7) flashes RED during charging.
• Once the display (7) changes to GREEN, the battery is fully charged.
• Remove the plug (9) from the socket (8) and disconnect the charger (10) from the power.

• To switch off the appliance, push the on-off button (5) until the heating display (7) goes out.
The point light (6) is switched off at the same time.
• If the glue gun is not used for longer than 5 minutes, it switches itself off automatically.
• After use, switch off the glue gun and allow it to cool down completely before packing
it away. The hot nozzle (1) can cause damage and/or burns.
Working notes
• Protect people and animals from hot glue and the nozzle tip. The glue and nozzle tip are
around 170 °C and there is a risk of burning.
• If hot glue touches the skin, hold the affected area under cold running water immediately and
keep it there for a few minutes. Do not try to remove the glue from the skin before it has
dried.
Preparing to glue
• The areas where you want to apply glue must be clean, dry and free from grease.
• The materials you want to glue as well as the substrate you are working on must not be
highly flammable or combustible.
• Test heat-sensitive materials in advance with a test piece.
• The surrounding temperature and the pieces to be glued must not be colder than +5 °C and
not warmer than +50 °C.
• Materials which cool the glue down quickly, such as metals, should be warmed up first with a
hot air gun.
