ON
ETTL ("Evaluative Through-The-Lens Mode") is an improved TTL fl ash control by
Canon to ensure an optimal illumination of the motif. In TTL mode the amount of
light is controlled automatically, to illuminate the motif correctly. The emitted light
is refl ected by the motif and measured Through The Lens (= TTL) by the camera.
When reaching the correct amount of light, a signal is sent to the studio fl ash which
stops the light output.
