HEATING CAPACITY WITH
DESUPERHEATERS
To calculate the heating capacity of
the desuperheater in conditions other
than nominal, multiply the nominal
value Pr in the table by the respective
correction coefficient Cd.
The following diagram can be used
to obtain the correction coefficients,
assuming that water ¨t = 5°C betwe-
en desuperheater inlet and outlet and
an evaporator water temperature of
7°C. For each curve, the condenser
outlet water temperature or con-
densation temperature is indicated.
Calculate the cooling power (Pf) and
absorbed power (Pa) following the sug-
gestions in "Selection criteria".
