4.3 Function checks of the charger
Carry out a visual inspection.
Prior to connecting the product to mains power:
– Check mains power cord 6 for possible damage.
– Check the product for any damage (e.g. bent
contacts of the charging bays).
Plug in mains power cord 6 at the device socket of
the charging station.
Plug in the mains plug at the mains power socket.
Insert Li-ion battery 9 in charging bay 7 of
charger 5 and charge the battery.

Insert the battery-powered clipping machine

/Libra 3 in charging bay 11 of charger 5
CL
and charge the machine.
Charge state indicator 8 or charge state
indicator 10 lights up red.
After charging, the charge state indicator 8/10
shines green and the battery-powered clipping
machine Favorita
/Libra 3/Li-ion battery 9 is

ready for operation.
The product is ready for operation.
4.4 Safe handling: Blade
4.4.1 Adjusting the plate pressure
Note
The plate pressure can be adjusted to increase the
cutting power as required (see foldout page)!
Tighten knurled screw 15 so that upper cutting
plate 19 can be moved by hand, by applying
moderate, lateral pressure.
4.4.2 Sharpening the cutting plate

For sharpening the cutting plate, please contact
Technical Service, see Chapter Technical Service.
4.4.3 Removing the blade
Risk of injury caused by sharp
cutting plates!
Apply proper care when handling

Loosen knurled screw 15 with leaf spring 16.
Push upper cutting plate 19 under pressure
piece 14 out of the blade.
This completes the disassembly of the blade.
4.4.4 Lubricating the blade
Disassemble the blade, see Chapter Removing the
blade.
Clean upper cutting plate 19 and lower cutting
plate 18 with a soft wipe or brush. Make certain
the gaps in serration 17 are cleaned properly.
Slightly lubricate upper cutting plate 19 and lower
cutting plate 18 with special lubricant for blades
GT604.
