12 Installing the parking compressor

NOTE
The compressor already has the relevant quantity of oil.

CAUTION!
z For safety reasons when drilling, note the location of existing wiring har-
nesses, wires and other components, in particular those which are not
visible The respective components are to be fitted so as not to create a risk
of injury for vehicle occupants (e.g. due to sharp edges) and not to impair
the function of safety features!
z After installation of the parking compressor behind the passenger seat it
may be necessary to limit the lengthwise adjustment of the seat!
z The vehicle owner must be made aware of the lengthwise adjustment of
the seat!
z The parking compressor is only suitable for use with chilled goods. Use for
freezing is not possible!
z The first time the parking cooling is used, the parking compressor must be
briefly switched on and off at least 5 times otherwise there is a risk that the
compressor may be damaged!
z When operating the parking cooling, a condenser fan must also be in op-
eration while the compressor is running!
➤ Use the base plate supplied to install the
parking compressor, see fig.1.
➤ The fastening bolts (M6, 4x) are not
included in the scope of delivery.
➤ The length of the bolts must be deter-
mined according to the installation
location.
