Starting/Ending Communication
To connect to an unregistered remote site
If the DIAL LIST menu is displayed, select <EXIT> to
display the main menu.
To call a remote site from the Remote Commander, see page
3-8 (GB).

Select the DIAL KEY from the main menu. When
using the Remote Commander, press DIAL key.
The following screen appears.

Enter the telephone number for the B1-channel of
the remote site using B or b, then press ENTER.
When using the Remote Commander, you can
enter the number using the number keys.
The line number is entered in TEL1 [ ].
Notes
• If you connect to a site whose B1-channel and B2-
channel have a different telephone number, you have
to set the second telephone number in TEL 2 [ ].

• Following the line number, enter an asterisk ( * ) and
enter a subaddress.

Select the transmission speed (ISDN 1B, ISDN 2B,
V35 SINGLE, V35 DUAL, HSD64-1, HSD64-2,
HSD128) using B or b or the ENTER.

After selecting the transmission speed, move the
cursor to <DIAL> using v, then press ENTER.
When the remote site is connected, the picture
from the remote site is displayed.

To cancel the connection before
connecting to a remote site
Press B on the Monitoring Codec or Remote
Commander.
If the connection failed
If the system cannot make a connection with the
remote site, the following message and the ISDN cause
code appear for two seconds and the DIAL LIST menu
appears again.
You can check the reason by reading the
communication log.

Incoming call while setting the SETTING
menu
If there is an incoming call while you are setting the
SETTING menu, the "There is an incoming video
call..." message appears on the screen. To connect,
press ENTER. To refuse to connect, press the B key.
Note
If there is an incoming call while you are setting the
SETTING menu, the setup that you are setting at the
time is invalid. If you accept the incoming call, all the
setup that you have set is invalid. If you do not accept
the incoming call, the setup that you are setting at that
time is invalid. To avoid these situation, remove the
line cord from the Monitoring Codec while you are
setting the SETTING menu.
