DESCRIPTION
Horotec
Pulse is an electronic device for testing the electronic parts (coil/circuit) of analogic
®
quartz watch movements.
OPERATING
The device captures the impulses issued from the coil of the quartz movement. When a signal
is detected, the green diode lights and the device beeps.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1) Place the watch or the watch movement to check on the central area of the device.
2) Press briefly on the red ON button ; the yellow diode lights up and indicates that the device
is ready for use. If the yellow diode does not light, please change the battery 9V. The device
will automatically switch off after 2 minutes. Some watches give impulses each 20 or 30
seconds, so please wait for the signal. If HOROTEC
Pulse is not capturing any signal after
®
20 or 30 seconds, please try to change the watch battery.
3) Repeat the test from point 1. If the device captures impulses from the watch and the hands
do not turn, it means that the electronic parts are functioning well and the defect comes from
the mechanical parts (wheel train, blocked hands).
4) Try to unlock the wheel train with the HOROTEC
Turbo.
®
5) Start again the test(point 1). If the device captures impulses and the hands are turning, the
watch is functioning correctly. If the device does not capture any signal, please try to change
completely the watch movement.
