Keypad Operations
On/Off
When you press the "On/Off" key, the pen will move to the correct
reading. If the unit is using AC power and power fails, the unit will
switch to battery power without interrupting the recording capabil-
ities. If power fails when the batteries are not present, the pen will
remain on the chart in recording position. When power is restored
the pen will move to home position.
Min/Max
1. Press the "Min/Max" key once and the minimum value during
the recording time will be displayed for approximately 7 sec-
onds.
2. Press the "Min/Max" key again during this time and the maxi-
mum value recorded will be displayed for 7 seconds.
3. Press the "Min/Max" key a third time during this time and the
display will show new readings. The unit will always revert to
showing new readings after 7 seconds.
Note: Turning the unit off erases the minimum and maximum val-
ues.
Display Change/Decimal Place
To change units: Hold "Display Change" and press down arrow
to select desired unit. (%, INWC, mmHG, BAR, mBAR, PSI, PH,
CFM, GPM, LPM, PPM, Vdc, Adc, °F, °C)
To change decimal place: Hold "Display Change" and press up
arrow to select decimal place setting. (260, 26.0, 0.260).
Keypad Operations
The defaults for alarm settings are: 10% of range MIN and 90% of
range MAX.
Note: Alarm settings will return to the default when AC power fails
there are no batteries installed for back-up power.
Display Symbols
Alarm is on.
"LO" BATT"
Low battery indicator
"UC"
The unit is in "User Calibration" mode. This is displayed in the
upper right hand corner of the display. (See "Calibration " on p. 8)
"E"
Error in calibration and instrument should be sent in for service.
"B"
The unit is using Battery Power.
B will disappear when AC adapter is plugged back into unit.
Reading update indicator.
Pen Home
Press the "Pen Home" key while the unit is operating and the pen
will move to the outside of the chart. Press the "Pen Home" key
again and the pen will return to the current reading point on the
chart.
Alarm Set
1. To set the minimum alarm press the "Alarm Set" key. The MIN
symbol will appear and the display reading will flash.
2. Use the up arrow button to increase the alarm setting and the
down arrow key to decrease the alarm setting.
3. Press "Alarm Set" key a second time. The MAX symbol will
appear and the display reading will flash indicating that you can
now set the maximum alarm. Use the same procedure as in
step #2 for setting the maximum alarm setting.
4. When you have set alarms press "Alarm Set" a final time to
return to the normal display mode.

Alarm On/Off
When alarm is "on" the alarm symbol appears on the display. When
alarm sounds it will sound audibly for approximately 1 minute and
then it will stop. To silence alarm, press Alarm On/Off key. The visu-
al alarm will display and flash until the alarm is reset.
A rectangle will move back and forth along the bottom
of the display with each new reading. Fewer readings
are taken in back-up battery mode.
1-day ...........1 reading/1min.
7-day ...........1 reading/7 min.
14-day .........1 reading/14 min.
31-day .........1 reading/31 min.
"MIN"
This symbol is displayed when you are setting a minimum alarm
or when you have pressed the "Min/Max" key and the minimum
value is being displayed.
"MAX"
This symbol is displayed when you are setting a maximum alarm
or when you have pressed the "Min/Max" key and the maximum
value is being displayed.
