diagonal belt guide is positioned at a maximum distance of 2 cm above the child's shoulder (H-5).
Pull the diagonal section of the vehicle's seatbelt upwards so that the entire seatbelt is tight and
clings to the child's torso and legs. Don't pull it too tight!
CAUTION! Check that the vehicle's 3-point seatbelt is fed correctly through the red belt guides
(H-3). Figure H-4 shows incorrect placement.
CAUTION! Check that no objects have become lodged between the child seat and the vehicle's seat
or between the child seat and the door of the vehicle.
CAUTION! The rear part of the child seat must be placed firmly against the seat
CAUTION! The vehicle's seatbelt buckle must never be higher than the child seat's lap seatbelt
guide (H4). If this is the case, the child seat must not be installed in that seat, but in another seat

REMOVING THE PADDING
Before removing the padding, carefully note how the various parts are attached so that you can
reattach them correctly afterwards.
To remove the padding, you first need to remove the 5-point harness: see "ADAPTING THE CHILD
SEAT FOR USE IN GROUPS 2 and 3 (15-36 kg)" section for detailed instructions on removing the
harness.
The padding is attached to the seat shell by a series of elastic straps located on the upper and lower
parts of the shell itself which must therefore be released.
To separate the fabric from the harness adjuster button's plastic protector (21), gently pull the
fabric outwards.
To remove the padding, you also need to remove the red belt guides located on the sides of the
child seat. To remove them, unscrew the screws located underneath them.
To replace the padding, use the same process in reverse.
