Cleaning the Grease Filter
Risk of Fire!
The performance of the exhaust hood is
affected by greasy debris; the risk of fire
increases with the amount of deposits. In
order to prevent the risk of fire, regular
cleaning of the metal filter is recommended.
The necessity of cleaning the grease filter is
also displayed via the LED indicators: The
red LED on the ceiling device will begin to
seit 05/2010
light up after 15 hours of operation - when
this happen, please clean the filter. To do so,
first gently press the special glass pane
upwards with both hands.
The glass will slowly lift upwards and the
grease filter located beneath it can now be
removed. The metal filter is best cleaned in a
dishwasher with gentle dishwasher detergent.
The manufacturer offers no guarantee in the
event of possible discoloration through the
use of aggressive cleaning products.
Temperatures above 65 degrees should also
be avoided. Attention: Please do not use any
3 phase cleaners or clean the filter in a
commercial dishwasher. Cleaning with ag-
gressive products such as benzene, acetone,
trichloroethylene, et cetera will lead to the
destruction of the filter!
To replace the metal filter after cleaning, lift
the glass pane upwards again with both
hands and then held the switch to the right
for 5 seconds. The hours of operation counter
will be reset and the red LED will go out.
Changing Lamps
Defective lamps must be immediately
replaced with new ones. Please disconnect
the exhaust hood from the electrical network
before changing the lamps! Please wait for
the lamps to cool down before replacing them!
Then remove the glass cover with a small
screwdriver. The lamp (Art. Nr.: 1717
Reflektorstrahler 28W Energy Reducer) can
now be removed. Be certain to avoid contact
with the skin when inserting a new lamp. Af-
ter replacing the lamp, replace the glass cover
and press it gently until it audibly clicks into
place.
