REMOTE FILTER HOLDER SR 905
1)
Assemble the belt in the belt attachment. Fig. 12.
2)
Assemble the SR 905 to the belt attachment. Two alternative. Fig 13, 14.
3)
Assemble the filter holder with filter onto the SR 905. Fig. 15.

2. INSPECTION PRIOR TO USE

Before donning the remote filter holder always perform the following checks.
1)
Check that the unit is complete, correctly assembled and thoroughly cleaned.
2)
Check all parts. Replace if worn, broken, or in other way defect. Fig. 16.
3)
Check that you have selected the right filter and it has been installed properly. Fig. 16.
3. DONNING/ USE/ DOFFING INSTRUCTIONS
A. Donning
1)
Take the SR 905 on and adjust the belt so that the remote filter holder is firmly and comfortably
secured at the back of your waist.
2)
Assemble the breathing hose into the half mask respirator. Fig. 17.
3)
Put on the half mask respirator. See SR 900 User's manual.
4)
Make sure that the breathing hose(s) runs along your back and is not twisted. Fig. 18.
5)
Rotate the belt around your waist so that you reach the hose connection on SR 905.
6)
Assemble the breathing hose into SR 905. Fig. 19.
7)
Perform a user seal check according to B. User seal check.
8)
Rotate back the belt so that the SR 905 is placed at the back of your waist.
With hose SR 951, see fig. 20. With hose SR 952, see fig. 21.
B. User seal check
A proper user seal check must be completed successfully each time the equipment is
worn. Failure to achieve a proper face-to-respirator seal before you enter a hazardous
atmosphere may result in little or no respiratory protection.
Negative User seal check
1)
Install a protective element.
2)
Snap the pre-filter holder onto the protective element.
3)
Donning the remote filter holder together with the half mask respirator and the breathing hose.
4)
Turn the remote filter holder forward and place the palm of your hand lightly over the hole on the pre-
filter holder to make it tight.
5)
Inhale gently, the respirator should pull inward on the face.
6)
Hold your breath for 5 sec. The respirator should remain collapsed on the face. Fig. 22.
7)
Remove the palm of your hand from the pre-filter holder.
8)
Breathe normally.
