The versatility of these speakers together with a large range of mechanical accessories
make it possible to install systems by grouping together from two to as many speakers as necessary
to deal with virtually every need related to the playing of piped music and broadcasting
announcements.
Reliability and Quality. Above all, AMBIT speakers have a surprisingly good quality in
terms of sound considering their dimensions. This is possible thanks to their special shape, which
enables to achieve a higher volume than what could be imagined.

4. CONNECTIONS

The AMBIT SB110 operates only at 8Ω as a low impedance speaker. For that, it has two
spring terminals for connection. These spring terminals accept up to 2.5mm section cable. Generally,
the cable between the amplifier's outputs and the speakers has to be of good quality, with a sufficient
diameter and as short as possible.
To feed the AMBIT SB110, a 100W to 400W RMS power amplifier is recommended.
The SB110 includes a 12dB slope passive filter with a 150Hz crossover frequency. To
improve the level of filtering, we suggest you to use an external active filter. Ecler range offers
several options to carry out that. Among them, MPA series amplifiers already integrate a 3rd order
Butterworth active filter with a 160Hz cut-off frequency (MPA4-150, 6-150 and 4-400) and are
recommended for their ease-of-use and their versatility.
It's important for the cable connecting amplifier's outputs and speakers to be of good
quality and as short as possible; this is especially important when distances are big and impedance
is low.
Always respect polarity.
