of children younger than 8 years. The appliance may be used by
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or
lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or if they
were instructed how to use the appliance safely and understand
potential dangers. Children shall not play with the appliance.
20. Make sure that the kettle stands on an even surface to prevent
tipping over and causing injury while cooking.
21. During the operation, and also right after cooking, do not touch the
outer surface of the kettle or the lid, the outer surfaces are hot.
22. Do not use the appliance close to objects which can be damaged
by steam.

You may not use the kettle to heat any other liquids than water. Never put tea bags, loose tea, or any other
ingredients for making beverages in the kettle.

Always use cold water when filling the kettle.
•
The water level must be between the minimum and maximum marks. Risk of water splashing out when
the kettle is overfilled.

Always switch the kettle off before removing it from the base.
•
Always make sure the lid is well closed.
•
The base and the outside of the kettle may not be wet.
•
Only use the kettle in combination with its original base.
USING THE APPLIANCE
Before first use
Before using it for the first time take out the kettle and wash it with a standard dishwashing detergent. Then fill
the kettle with a clean, cold drinking water up to max. level, turn it on and bring the water to boil. Then pour
the water out and repeat the procedure at least five times. By this process you can clean the kettle properly
and get rid of any odors. If you feel any aftertaste from the boiled water, we recommend repeating the process.
It is also recommended to leave the empty kettle open for 24 hours. Any mild smell or odor when first used
after unpacking is a common phenomenon and should not be a reason for complaint about the appliance. The
kettle material coming into contact with water is certified as harmless to health.

Once the water begins to boil, the kettle automatically switches off.
•
Do not open the lid when pouring water out of the kettle.
•
Unplug the cord from the outlet when you are finished using the appliance.
•
The kettle is equipped with an automatic safety circuit, which protects the appliance against overheating.
The circuit is activated if the kettle is switched on with insufficient water. If the auto power off circuit is
activated, turn off the kettle, disconnect the power supply and allow it to cool for 5 to 10 minutes. Then
you can refill the kettle with water and use it in the usual way.
Basic use
1.
Place the base on a dry and level surface and plug the power cord into an electrical outlet. Place the kettle
on its base.
