Mounting extension pieces
Extension pieces (VS inlet module DN 400, VS
intermediate piece DN 400, VS inlet module DN
600, VS intermediate piece 1000 DN 600) can be
used to realise larger installation depths.
The supplied profile seal

of the extension or VS-Control
External. The insertion area
well as the seal must be generously rubbed with
the supplied soft soap (do not use lubricants based
on mineral oil). The extension piece is inserted into
the extension of the vortex flow control housing up
to the stop of the insertion area.
During the further backfilling of the vortex flow control shaft, it must be ensured that the
shaft remains vertically aligned and that no backfill material enters the shaft. The horizontal
alignment must be checked again.

Mounting the telescopic cover
The telescopic cover allows the shaft system to be infinitely adjusted to the given terrain surface.
In order to ensure the formation of the water vortex, it is essential to ensure that the insertion area of the
telescope ends above the design water level of the upstream retention tank. If necessary, the telescope
must be shortened.
Before the telescopic cover is inserted, the profile seal is inserted into the sealing groove of the housing
as described in the chapter 5.7. The telescope as well as the seal must be generously rubbed with the
supplied soap (do not use lubricants based on mineral oil).
Note:
If the soft soap dries, the telescopic cover is very difficult to move and there is a risk that the
seal will slip out of the sealing groove. Before backfilling, the seal must be checked for cor-
rect seating.
