Fault
No output voltage
Warning signal during oper-
ation
Warning sound during oper-
ation below nominal load
The device switches on and
off repeatedly
The inverter switches off
when the consumer is
switched on
Cleaning and caring for the inverter
Cause
No contact to the battery
Battery voltage less than 11 V
(MSP 162/MSP 352) or 22 V
(MSP 164/MSP 354)
Overheating
Defective fuse (in the inverter
or the vehicle)
The battery voltage is less than
11 V (MSP 162/MSP 352) or
22 V (MSP 164/MSP 354)
Poor contact to the battery
Insufficient battery power.
Inadequate cable connection
(cross section too small or poor
contact).
Excessive constant load
Starting current too high
Remedy
Check contact and cable.
Charge the battery (start the
engine).
Switch off power consuming
devices.
Let the inverter cool down
and ensure better ventilation.
Have an electrician change
the fuse.
Charge the battery.
Clean the contacts.
Charge the battery.
Use a cable with a larger
cross section and check
contacts.
Reduce the load.
Compare the device power
with the maximum power of
the inverter.
