3 Assembly
Attach the straps to the D-rings (Fig. 1, item 3):
Thread the strap end through the glide buckle, through the D-ring, and
back through the glide buckle (Fig. 2). Take care that the loose strap end
will be accessible when the patient is seated - it must be facing outwards
from the body.
Assembly to the wheelchair:
Choose the correct strap positions.
The correct configuration of screw, nut and washer is shown on figure 1.
Wherever possible, existing holes should be used for mounting the loops.
Where holes are not available, drill 6 mm holes in the desired locations.
Take care to select a hole location that will provide adequate strength,
such as frame bars or rigid seats and backs.
Assembly to the MOSS system:
The correct configuration of screw, nut and washer is shown on figure 1.
The alternative assembly positions for the lower belt are shown on figure
3. You will have to remove the socket head cap screw from the seat frame
with a 4 mm hexagon head wrench to slide the nut into place. Be sure to
replace this screw.
Adjustment:
The kit is unbuckled by pressing the snaps at the top and bottom simul-
taneously.
