Seat the patient in the wheelchair. Buckle the patient into the seat and
ovserve the belt positioning and tightness. Make sure the straps are loose
enough to allow unrestricted breathing. Adjustment should be made at the
end of a full inhalation cycle. The lower straps should be positioned so that
a 45 degree angle is formed between the straps and the seat frame. The
upper straps should be placed comfortably over the shoulders, far enough
apart to avoid chafing the patient's neck.
The belt tightness is adjusted by sliding the strap through the glide buckle
until the correct adjustment is achieved.
4 Instructions for use
Attention!
Be careful with open flames as well as with the use of f.e. cigars
or cigarettes.
Falling embers can make supports, rests, plates, shells, pads,
covers or cushions begin to smoulder and thus cause fire.
Replace the straps when the areas around the loops and buckles
show signs of fraying.
