•
The automatic feed dispenser is only suitable for indoor use.
•
Do not allow your pet to gnaw on the device or the cable. Use a
cable guard if necessary.
•
Additional information on how to use IoT devices can be found
at the end of this manual.
Before using the feed dispenser
1. Plug the automatic feed dispenser into a power outlet with the
mains plug. Switch on the main power switch at the bottom.
2. Fill the automatic feed dispenser with dry feed. Place the lid on
the feed container and turn it to lock it into place securely. Now
open the bowl by pressing against it and pulling it out.
3. For control and programming of the automatic feed dispenser,
download the app "Tuya Smart" to your smartphone or tablet.
Scanning the QR code takes you directly to the download.
How to Register
Open the app and click on REGISTER to create an account.
Coupling the Device
In the next step, the automatic freed dispenser is connected to
the internet anad coupled to your smartphone. Please be sure
to follow the following instructions to ensure a trouble-free
connection:
•
The automatic feed dispenser should be placed near (max.
distance 3 m) your WLAN router while the connection is esta-
blished. At the same time, your smartphone should be quite
close to the feed dispenser (max. distance 1 m).
•
Ensure that your smartphone is connected to the WLAN and
has a high signal level.
•
Please note that linking the automatic feed dispenser only
works at the frequency 2.4 GHz. If you have a WLAN router
that sends out 2.4 GHz as well as 5 GHz, you have to make sure
you choose the right frequency band.
•
There are two options for linking the device: EZ mode and
AP mode. Some dual band routers use a joint SSID (name of
network) for both frequencies. If that is the case, linking in EZ
mode will only work if you first separate both frequency bands
in the settings of your router and assign a separate SSID for both
frequencies. You can also deactivate the 5 GHz temporarily as
an alternative. Consult the manual of your router if you are not
sure what type of router you have and how you can change the
settings. The AP mode described further down offers another op-
tion how to solve the problem. This type of coupling works with
dual-band routers without prior separation of both frequencies.
EZ Modus
1. Reset the automatic feed dispenser by keeping the SET button
underneath the device pressed for 5 seconds. There will be an
4
acoustic signal and after a few seconds, the green control light
will start to flash slowly.
2. Choose ADD DEVICE in the app. Search for the field SECURITY
CAMERA in VIDEO SURVEILLANCE.
3. In the next step, the first thing to do is change the network pai-
ring mode. Open the drop-down menu at the top on the right
and choose EZ MODE. This setting is easily overlooked.
4. Make sure one more time that the green control light on the
automatic feed dispenser is flashing.
5. Go to the next page in your app. To the right of the name of
your WLAN, you can call up a list of available networks. Here
you can check once again if your chosen network is set to the
correct frequency (2.4 GHz only). Choose the right network,
enter your password and confirm your entry.
6. Now the app begins the coupling process and should link to the
automatic feed dispenser after a short wait.
AP-Mode
1. If coupling the device fails although you have followed all the in-
structions and the frequency of the network is set to 2.4GHz, you
can try an alternative network pairing mode. The AP mode works
with dual band routers without prior separation of both frequen-
cies as well. Press the SET button on the device 10 times in a row
to activate the AP mode. Next choose AP MODE in the app and
follow the instructions to connect to the hotspot of the device.
2. Press the SET button 5 times in a row to return from the AP
mode to the EZ mode.
Programming the Feeding
1. Click on FEED PLAN and ADD TIME to set the feeding times.
Her you can choose different times for feeding and the days
when these are to be repeated. Also you can set the size of the
portions for the feeding (1 portion= about 12 ml).
2. In the overview of the feeding times, you can activate or deacti-
vate individual feeding times.
Manual Feeding
1. Press FEEDING and choose the number of portions that you
want to be dispensed right away.
2. By pressing CALL, you can record a 10-second audio message.
This will be played at feeding time to attract your pet's attention.
3. Under PROGRESS you can see all previous feedings.
Video Transmission and Audio Recordings
1. If you want to take a screenshot of the image shown on the
camera, click on TAKE PHOTO.
2. If you want to communicate with your pet at home, click on
SPEAK. To record a video, click on RECORD.
3. Under ALARM you can activate the motion detection of your
camera to get a notification when your pet approaches the
automatic feed dispenser.
Other Settings
