• Never allow the battery to come into contact with
water.
• If a lithium-ion battery is burning, never use
water to extinguish it. Use sand or some other
asphyxiant fire-extinguishing medium.
• If the battery has leaked, avoid contact with skin,
eyes and mucous membranes. Rinse the acid
off the affected sites immediately with plenty of
clear water and seek medical assistance without
delay.
NOTE:
If you will not be using the appliance for lengthy
periods, store it and its rechargeable battery in a
cool, frost-free place (approx. +15 °C) with a
charge status of 40 – 60 %. This prevents prema-
ture ageing of the rechargeable battery.
Cleaning, care and storage
DANGER:
• The appliance must be switched off
and unplugged if:
– you want to clean or oil the appliance.
– you want to change the rechargeable battery.
• Never attempt to remove dust or foreign bodies
from inside the appliance with pointed objects
(e.g. with the tail of a comb).
CAUTION:
• To avoid excessive wear on blade head and
motor, clean the blade head regularly and apply
oil to the appropriate points (See "Cleaning and
care" on page 34).
• Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning
products to clean the appliance.
