2. Using a funnel, fill the oil container with recommended lamp oil through the wick opening. Please observe
the filling volumes, i.e. max. 280 ml. For safety, do not overfill and make sure that the oil does not
overflow. In the vent that oil has poured over the exterior, wipe off and dry before igniting.
3. Screw the wick back into the oil container and tighten finger-tight.
6.4 Igniting the Torch
1. If you ignite the torch for the first time, wait five minutes and make sure the wick has soaked up the lamp
oil.
2. Make sure your hands are free of lamp oil. This is important as they may catch fire when lighting the wick.
3. Ignite the wick as you would light a candle.
6.5 Extinguishing the Torch
1. Place the snuffer over the flame until the flame has gone out completely.
2. Do not touch the snuffer nor the oil container until they have cooled down entirely.

Cleaning and Maintenance

 The torch does not need any particular maintenance. However, occasionally wipe it with a damp cloth to
keep it looking new. Use a recommended stainless steel cleaning agent if necessary. Do not use harsh
chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong detergents.
 If required, wipe away any soot at the wick protection using a damp cloth. Discolouration of the material in
that area because of the high temperatures is due to the natural features of stainless steel and does not
constitute a quality defect.
 Only use this torch with the recommended round fibreglass wicks with a diameter of 6.5 mm. Position the
wick firmly in the wick holder and make sure the wick ends approximately 5 mm above the wick holder. The
wick holder must be completely sealed off.
