FIRMWARE UPDATE
A firmware update keeps the device software up to date and improves software performance. If you have the latest LD OCS software
installed on your PC and an LD DSP44K or DSP45K amplifier is connected to the computer, the OCS software automatically indicates if
newer device firmware is available for the power amplifier than the currently installed firmware. (Fig. A). Take great care updating firm-
ware. Perform all the steps exactly as instructed. Do not interrupt the update process and ensure that the USB connection
between the PC and the power amplifier is not interrupted. If the firmware update is not completed fully and correctly, the
power amplifier could be damaged and rendered unusable.
When installing the latest LD OCS software, the firmware updater is automatically installed. You can find the firmware updater in the
Windows start menu.
Start the firmware updater and follow the steps carefully!
1 Switch off the power amplifier.
2 Press and hold buttons A, D and MENU of the power amplifier simultaneously.
3 Switch the power amplifier on and hold the 3 buttons until the "BOOTLOADER MODE" is shown in the device display. Do not touch any
buttons until the update is completed.
4 Connect the power amplifier and the PC using a suitable USB cable (USB 2.0, USB-A to USB-B).
5 Click on Connect in the Updater window. "Device connected" will be displayed in the information window.
6 Then click on the button Erase-Program-Verify. The process takes a moment.
7 Once the update is complete, the information window will display "Programming completed" and "Verification successful". Switch the
power amplifier off briefly and then back on again. The OCS software can now be started as usual.
