3.
OUT: This is the 1/4" output. Plug a second guitar cable between this and your amp,
or between this and the next pedal in your chain.
4.
Tone: This custom-voiced knob controls the overall EQ and affects the signal, post
drive. This knob was tuned to deliver a wide range of tones, while eliminating the
less-desirable or extreme settings of traditional overdrive pedals. After you set the
desired EQ range, use the Bass knob to "fine tune" the low end response.
5.
"ON" LED: This LED illuminates when the ice 9 is turned on.
6.
ON: This switch turns the ice 9 on and off.
7.
Vintage / Modern: This switch is designed to Joe's exacting specifications and pro-
vides access to two totally different overdrive voices. When Vintage is selected, the
overdrive effects are warm and classic with just the right amount of sparkle and sus-
tain. When Modern is selected a germanium diode is added to the signal giving a
more robust, powerful, cutting and aggressive overdrive for screaming lead tones.
8.
Bass: This knob controls the contour of the bass response before the drive. Turn
clockwise for the addition of a fuller and richer bass sound, or counter clockwise to
subtract the bass and add more crisp bite to the overdrive.
9.
Volume: This knob controls the output level.
10. IN: This is the 1/4" input. Plug your guitar into this. For extended battery life, always
unplug your guitar cable from the input when not in use.
11. "MORE" LED: This LED illuminates when the "MORE" function is engaged.
