2.
INSTALLATION
• Separate the flange (1) from the exhaust unit.
• If the exhaust hole has a 12 cm diameter, fit the enlargement ring (2) supplied in the kit onto the flange air
outlet collar (1).
• To avoid smoke and/or odour backflow, insert the closure butterfly valve (3) supplied, into the flange air outlet
collar (1).
• To avoid vibrations apply the special gasket (4) supplied, inserting it on the edge of the flange (1) and cut it to
fit as shown in Figure 1.
• Hold the flange (1) to the wall and mark the 4 fastening points. Drill four 5 mm holes.
• If the input power wiring is in a chase, pass the wires through the hole at the rear of the flange (1) and then
fasten it with the anchor plugs and screws provided. If power is input to the exhaust unit through external
wiring, fit the wires into the special labyrinth channel as shown in Figure 2. DO NOT USE FLAT (RIP-TYPE)
WIRING.
Before fitting the aspiration unit (6) (in the connection of the labyrinth wiring), pull the wire so that it does not
come out of its seat.
Remove the front cover (5) from the exhaust unit (6) using a screwdriver to press the inside of the two lateral
holes (a) as shown in figure 3.
• Remove the electric connection box cover (7) from the exhaust unit (6) working at points (b) as shown in figure 4.
If connecting with outside wiring, break off one of the two plastic parts (c) of the aspiration unit (6) in order to
pss the wiring (fig. 4).
• Fasten the exhaust unit (6) to the flange (1) using the 4 self-threading 4 x 20 diameter screws provided.
• Make the electrical connections on the electric terminal board.
• Snap-fasten the electric connection box cover (7) onto the exhaust unit (6).
• To apply the protection filter (8) insert it on the electric system cover (7).
• Snap fasten the front cover (5) onto the exhaust unit.
• For maintenance or cleaning operations the assembly and disassembly phases are those described above.
WARNING: Remember to always switch off the power supply circuit before carrying out any type of operation.
CLEANING: Do not immerse electric parts in water or other liquids.
CTF Line "S": STANDARD MODELS
• The electrical connection must be carried out in compliance with the layout indicated in Fig. A.
ALL MODELS CTF Line "S" CAN BE FITTED WITH THE FOLLOWING ACCESSORY:
ASPIRTIMER: accessory for timerization.
CTF Line "PC": MODELS WITH TIE ROD SWITCH
• The electrical connection must be carried out in accordance with the layout indicated in Fig. B.
CTF Line "T": FUNCTION MODALITY FOR MODELS WITH TIMER
• They are supplied with minimum calibration of approx. 45 seconds.
• They function regularly including in the absence of a light bulb or with the light bulb fused.
• The TIMER switches on the aspirator when the light comes on. When the light is turned off the aspirator
continues to function for a period of time that can be programmed from approx. 45 seconds to 30 minutes.
If you wish to increase the function time carry out the following procedures:
• Switch off the supply circuit.
• With gentle movements use a screwdriver on the trimmer (T), situated on the aspirator, in the direction
indicated by the arrow (Fig. 5).
• Check that the function time is the one you want. If it is not repeat the operation.
• The electrical connection must be carried out in accordance with the layout indicated in Fig. C, D.
CTF Line "HTT": FUNCTION MODALITY OF MODELS WITH HYGROSTAT + TIMER Fig. 5
• These exhaust fans have been designed for the automatic control of relative humidity in the premises.
• The exhaust fan is activated when the relative humidity (RH), present in the premises exceeds the preset
activation threshold, and it keeps working until the RH drops below a pre-set threshold. When the pre-set
threshold has been reached, the TIMER function enables the exhaust fan to keep working for a programmed
length of time in order to reduce further the humidity present in the premises.
• The desired time setting is carried out using the trimmer (T).
• The trimmer (T) is originally set in the factory for a time period of ca 45 sec., but it can be adjusted up to a max.
time of ca 30 min.
• The trimmer (H) is originally set in the factory for an activation point of ca. 60% relative humidity (RH), but this
percentage can be changed, from a minimum of 40% RH (-) to a max. 80% RH (+).
• To change the settings, proceed as follows:
• Disconnect the power supply circuit.
• Turn the trimmer (T) and/or the trimmer (H) gently by means of a screwdriver in the direction shown by the
arrow.
• Verify if the operational time or RH value have been correctly set, if not repeat the procedure carefully.
