Start-up, calibration and operation of the burner
6.1
Notes on safety for the first start-up
The first start-up of the burner must be carried out
by qualified personnel, as indicated in this manual
and in compliance with the standards and regula-
tions of the laws in force.

6.2
Combustion adjustment
In conformity with EN 267, the installation of the burner on the
boiler, the adjustment and testing, must be carried out in compli-
ance with the instruction manual of the boiler, including control of
the CO and CO
concentration in the flue gases, their tempera-
2
ture and the average temperature of the water in the boiler.
To suit the required boiler output, choose nozzle, adjust the pump
pressure, the position of the mixing unit, the flue gases recircula-
tion slotted holes, and the air damper adjustment in accordance
with the following schedule.
The values shown in the table are measured on a CEN boiler (as
per EN 267), and they refer to 13% CO
and with light oil and an ambient temperature of 20°C, and a com-
bustion chamber pressure of 0 mbar.
The combustion air is sucked from outside, there-
fore, there can be sensitive temperature varia-
tions that can influence the percentage value of
the CO
.

It is advisable to adjust the CO
diagram. For example: outside air temperature of
10 °C, adjust the CO
