ASSEMBLY OF PRUNING SAW
1. Take the hex key out of the rear housing of Pruner. (See Fig. 1)
2. Loosen the Guide Bar knob and remove the Sprocket Cover. (See. Fig. 2)
3. Loosen the guide bar bolt with the hex key. (See. Fig. 3)
4. Place chain along top groove of guide bar and around guide bar nose, making sure
cutting edges of chain are facing in the right direction. Position chain so cutting edges on
top of guide bar face guide bar nose. (See. Fig. 4 & 4-1)
CAUTION:
Do not place chain on saw backwards.
If chain is backwards, saw will vibrate badly and will not cut.
5. Install guide bar onto saw body. Place center slot of guide bar onto guide bar bolt.
Place chain around drive sprocket. (See. Fig. 5)
6. Tighten the guide bar bolt with the hex key. (See. Fig. 6)
7. Adjust saw chain tension. Follow steps under
Correct chain tension shown as Fig. 7
8. Close the sprocket cover and tighten the Guide Bar Knob. (See. Fig.8)
9. Open the oil cap and pour oil into the cabinet, making sure oil level must exceed Min
mark on the housing. (See Fig. 9, 10 &11)
ADJUSTING POLE LENGTH
The Pruning Saw has a telescoping pole assembly that will extend from 1.7m (fully
retracted) to 2.7Mm (fully extended). There are two inner poles that can be retracted or
extended. Coupling nuts are used to hold the pole in position at any extended length.
To extend the pole, turn nut 1 counter clockwise. Pole will slide freely. (See Fig. 12 & 13)
Pull inner pole section out to desired length of extension (See Fig. 14)
To lock pole in position, turn nut clockwise until firmly hand tight. (See. Fig. 15)
If fully extended inner pole 1 length is not desired, Inner pole 2 can be extended too
following same steps as described above.
ADJUSTING SHOULDER STRAP POSITION
The Pruning Saw has a shoulder strap for assistance of operation.
Its position can be adjusted by following the below steps.
1. Turn nut 3 counter clockwise. The strap can be moved freely. (See Fig. 18)
2. Pull the strap to the desired position. (See Fig. 19)
3. Turn nut 3 clockwise and tighten the nut. (See Fig. 20)
4. Push the fastener to loose (See Pic. 21)
5 Insert right fastener to left one to button the strap. (See Pic. 22)
